In Memory of…

Danica Dada Djikov

Danica, out of all the beating hearts in this world, was truly a “God Send” in every aspect of the phrase. Don Barber and Danica were very close, and her death took a toll on not only Don, but Carolina Police K9 as well. She helped Don thru some very tough times in his life, and never allowed him to feel sorry for himself. Her boot was exactly where it needed to be from time to time. Seminars were canceled upon her death. Those seminars would have contributed a vast amount of Warrior Police K-9 knowledge to many here in the United States. If we had to define Danica in one word, it would be that of a “Warrioress”. We know, first hand, that her enemy referred to her as “The Witch”, and she was feared through out the middle east with her K-9, “Alex”. Danica was a wonderful human being, and in 2021, the world is a less beautiful place to be since she passed. We will always love you, Danica, and you are only truly gone from this world when forgotten. You will live forever in our hearts. God Speed, Danica Djakov.

K9 “Stuart”

Carolina Police K9 Supervisor Dog- K9 Stuart was fearless, and was utilized in chasing the larger Belgian Malinois, Dutch & German Shepherds, Vizslas, and Labs from the training facility back into the K9 Transport Ambulance Crates. We think that our larger Police K9’s were smart enough to not mess with him, run back to their crates, to just get away from this crazy Course Haired Jack Russell Terrorist! He had such a sweet disposition, loveable, loyal, and worked hard for us for 13 years. He enjoyed supervising every dog and everyone! Stuart is missed daily and he was happy to have a job, but happier that he was able to slip right into a Supervisor Job. RIP Stuart, you are missed terribly and daily!
